Tammy Smart, who has served the Society in an hourly role as our Events Coordinator since February, 2011, has done an excellent job of developing our banquets and events clients and growing our function bookings during the past year. We have now entered into a contract agreement to continue building on the valuable contribution Tammy makes to our banquets operations. Tammy will also be taking on a new responsibility to supervise and train the front-of-house F&B service staff to consistently achieve enhanced service standards for our pass-holders and patrons in all areas and outlets of the Society’s food & beverage services delivery.
 
Cameron Kusiek has been selected to join our team as the Society’s new Course & Grounds Superintendent effective Monday, January 16th, 2012. As a member of the Canadian and Alberta Golf Superintendents Associations, Cameron was the Senior Assistant Superintendent of the Wolf Creek Golf Resort in Ponoka, Alberta, from 2009 thru 2011, the Assistant Superintendent from 2005 thru 2009, and a member of the Grounds team at Wolf Creek beginning in 2001. He spent one summer completing an internship as Old Course Seasonal Green Keeper at St. Andrews Links Trust, St. Andrews, Fife, UK, and was also the recipient of the Canadian Golf Superintendents Association & Toro Future Superintendent of the Year Award in 2009. Cameron holds a Bachelor of Science Degree majoring in Biological Sciences from the University of Alberta and an Associate Diploma in Turfgrass Management from the University of Guelph.
